One of the first chocolate cakes I baked as a kid used buttermilk and hot coffee to make a cake that was super moist and deeply chocolatey.  We borrowed the same "secrets" in creating this cookie, using lots of dark cocoa and espresso to bring the chocolate front and center -- the added rainbow jimmies and melty chocolate chips really make party complete!
