What is Babka?  

Babka is a traditional Eastern European holiday yeast cake filled with twisting layers of chocolate & cinnamon and covered with a light crumb topping.  Think of the best chocolate danish you ever had...and turn it into a cake.  Lists are made passionately debating NYC's best Babkas; there was even a Seinfeld episode dedicated to wonders of the Babka.  

Our Babka Cookie doesn't stray far from its inspiration: twisting layers of slightly malty cookie dough and rich, very dark chocolate-cinnamon 'fudge' are topped with a crunchy, buttery crumble.
